It is our vision at Yale Junior High School to create a learning environment where all students are motivated to find their purpose in life, to view their individual worth, and to realize their potential, both academically and outside of school. Yale Junior High will be a safe, supportive place that students and their families, staff and community can enjoy. Everyone will be provided the opportunity for measurable physical, emotional, social, and intellectual growth. Recognizing that everyone is unique, a variety of methods and activities will be used to challenge all to reach their maximum potential. Guided by the core values of life-long learning, respect and responsibility, Yale Junior High School will continue to strive to assure an organizational structure, teaching strategies, and an environment conducive to and supportive of all learners. School personnel, parents and students are committed to a partnership which will provide positive experiences, and a common core knowledge for a solid educational foundation for all of the students at Yale Junior High School.
Our school's notable achievements over the previous three years have been in all areas. We were above state average and ranked first in St. Clair County. We continue to implement the nationally-normed assessment that has allowed us to better identify struggling students. With this program, we have seen increases in our state assessments. Yale Junior High School is focusing on improving standardized scores in all area as well as continuing to focus on increasing at-risk students’ performance on these state and national assessments.
